Miss International 2018
Khatar, the reigning queen of MMI 2018, is a student of Technological University (Thanlyin), currently in her 3rd year, studying Electronic and Communication. She is an avid reader who enjoys classic literature written by William Shakespeare and her natural talents lie in singing. Her adventurous side reveals cycling and travelling as her hobbies, having visited other countries like China and Bangkok. Khatar’s biggest inspiration comes from Daw Aung San Su Kyi, whom she admires greatly for being ‘a major voice for human rights and freedom.’ Khatar has high ambitions for her country and hopes to expose the undiscovered beauty of nature and the diversity of culture in her native town to the world. Her main aspiration is to create peace in her country, which is facing conflicts and to improve Myanmar’s economy by enhancing communications and tourism.
1st Runner Up
Poe Aeint ZIn, the Kachin belle that captured the judges’ attention as the 1st Runner Up of MMI 2018, has not only got the beauty, but also the brains and aspirations of becoming an inspirational leader. Poe Aeint does not shy away from the responsibilities of an advocate for youth empowerment and strives on to promote social responsibility. Currently studying at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, where she excelled as an International College Ambassador, Poe Aeint has volunteered in Leadership programs and ‘For Hopeful Children’ Project. Her hobbies include dancing, reading, and exploring in outdoor activities. With her remarkable public speaking skills, Poe Aeint dedicates herself untiringly to reform elderly houses, hospitals and schools – an important goal she has set for herself to reach.
2nd Runner Up
Nay Chi Htet, 18, is a fresh new face representing the beauties of Innlay. With dreams of becoming a Miss since childhood, Nay Chi has already achieved her life goal at a young age by winning the Miss Innlay 2017 title and earning a spot for herself in the MMI 2018 event as the 2nd Runner Up. Her inspiration comes from Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015, and she wishes to follow her footsteps in the future. Having previously volunteered at Saytana Thukha Organization, Nay Chi hopes to get involved in more philanthropic activities.
Miss Popular
2nd Runner Up of World Beauty Queen 2018 Korea, Shun Yamone, has quickly become a favorite of the audience, landing the Title Award ‘Miss Popular’ in the MMI 2018 event. A familiar face that had also made it into the Top 10 contestants in the Miss World Myanmar event continues to captivate the audience with her elegance and youthful charms. Despite her fame and success, Shun Yamone admits that she’s just like any other girl, who loves swimming, singing and Sai Sai Kham Leng. Her interests lie in improving Myanmar’s tourism and culture and she has volunteered as a member in respectable organizations like the Red Cross Team and Balance Charity.
Miss Photogenic
Phyo Pa Pa Htoo, a 2nd Year Law student of Dagon University, landed the Title Award ‘Miss Photogenic’ during the MMI 2018 event for her dazzling presence in front of cameras. Dancing, travelling and swimming are her favorite hobbies. Phyo Pa Pa finds inspiration in Daw Aung San Su Kyi and wishes to be someone who represents Myanmar. After volunteering to help victims of natural disasters in Mandalay and Bagan, Phyo Pa Pa strives on to achieve her life goal of becoming an actress. Her arresting beauty and kindness continue to open doors before her.
Miss Congeniality
Khin Zakawar Win, a young entrepreneur who has established her own brand in the fashion industry, has also earned the Title Award ‘Miss Congeniality’ during the MMI 2018 event. She graduated from Yadanarpon University with a B.A and a Diploma in English. Despite her success, Khin Zakawar stays grounded and connected to her Mogok roots, making continuous efforts to promote her hometown. Her hobbies include reading and playing chess. She finds inspiration in Min Thant San, an outstanding professional designer and aspires to be a future youth leader.
